Account Executive, APAC

Department: Australia - Sales
Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia

TechTarget, the leading provider of B2B tech media and intent data services, is looking for its next sales superstar in Sydney. Our new Field Account Executive, APAC will be responsible for driving net-new business and managing relationships with multi-national technology accounts across the region. He/she will sell TechTarget’s digital marketing products, services, and subscriptions to our SaaS platform called Priority Engine. This position offers a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years’ sales experience to build a career in technology/SaaS sales.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own customer relationships and full sales cycle from discovery to close to renewal
  • Increase digital advertising and SaaS subscription revenue growth through new business development, ongoing client contact and account management;
  • Increase depth of contact for assigned territory and team by attending trade shows and active prospecting;
  • Manage and increase sales within assigned territory by making a large volume of outbound sales calls and emails; and,
  • Keep abreast of developments in the enterprise technology and B2B marketing industries; stay involved in industry activities through participation in trades shows, industry associations, and industry functions
  • The Field Account Executive (FAE) will work independently and jointly with our Sales Development Rep to engage and develop both existing and net-new customers within the enterprise technology industry across ANZ, ASEAN, India, and Japan
  • The FAE will also work closely with multiple different parties within the company, including
    • Global counterparts supporting the same accounts across APAC, EMEA, and North America
    • Local and global Client Consulting and Campaign Management teams
    • Publishers focused on unique technology sectors (e.g. Security, Networking, Cloud Computing) including their publishers, marketers and editors

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • 1 – 3 years of sales experience in the IT market or in related digital-focused markets, selling to technology sales & marketing contacts;
  • Experience at a technology company would be valued as well;
  • Demonstrated ability to break new accounts and to grow existing accounts;
  • Accountability and desire to attain goals are driving factors in their life; and,
  • Ability to deal with a deep and complex set of products.
